"The Sky is Calling" is a 48 second computer generated video and a conceptual work of the author which features a 3D rendered model of a bird in flight, spiced with a digital light show of particle effects and animated 3D procedurals.
In the creation of this video -
The bird was modeled in sPatch spline modeler and exported to .dxf in Poser 4 Pro Pack where the skeletal hierarchy was assembled and animated.
The Earth and sky were created and animated in MegaPOV 0.6. 'Dark Forest' scene was done in Soft F/X Pro for it's fast rendering of heavy volumetrics, with foliage created in Plant Studio 2.
Animation was compiled in Poser 4 and Soft F/X Pro with layering and post process particle effects done in Illusion 2.
Sound track was composed in Sonic Foundry ACID with digital synthesis generated in Sound Forge 4.5.
